IPTC's SoftPhone is a Windows-based application for the PC that emulates Ericsson system telephones with all functionality you are used with. An intuitive user interface and context-sensitive controls make it easy and fun to use.

Mouse and keyboard controls replace the overwhelming, non-intuitive buttons and archaic keystroke combinations of legacy phones and makes it easy to make call, answer call or transfer call. Voice is processed via headset and PC's soundcard.

SoftPhone communicates with DEX28-GE2P or GE8P over TCP/IP based network and Internet opening new opportunities for your mobility. With DEX28 SoftPhone running on a laptop you can logon your company extension and receive calls wherever you can connect to the corporate network without sacrificing quality.

SoftPhone and DEX28™ uses VoIP (Voice Over IP) technology for call processing. Voice packages are compressed and encrypted before they are sent over the networks insuring high quality and security.

Next release of SoftPhone is going to offer increased functionality with integrated address book from MS Outlook and Active Directory for MS Windows 2000 (AD). Finding and calling a user will be as simple as looking up a name in the company directory and dragging and dropping it onto the DEX28 SoftPhone.
